It's been a very busy week in Class 3! On Tuesday, we had an incredible Sports Day filled with House spirit. Children from Earth, Wind, Fire and Air enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities including bean bag throwing, standing long jumps, long-distance running, javelin and shot put throws. The air was buzzing with cheering and positivity, truly embodying teamwork and healthy competition. The excitement continued into the afternoon with our highly anticipated running races, including hurdles and exhilarating relays, all cheered on by spectating parents who even got involved in a lively bean bag race! A huge well done to all the children who took part and a special congratulations to Water House for earning the most points! In Maths, we've been busy partitioning decimals, making whole integers with tenths and hundredths, and dividing by 10 and 100. Our English lessons saw us use our creative minds to draw secret doors and imaginary worlds behind our portals, inspired by The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. We've been working hard to describe our settings using expanded noun phrases, past tense verbs and prepositions. In Geography, we've been identifying the differences between villages, towns and cities, as well as locating key landmarks for countries in the United Kingdom. To round off the week, on Friday, we celebrated Richard Crosse Book Day with lots of fun book activities, including a quiz, drawing our favourite book characters and acting out famous scenes from books, all led by our brilliant Year 6 librarians. Well done, Class 3!
