We've been busy bunnies, hopping from adventures with Peter Rabbit to celebrating the magic of books, and even learning about the benefits of giving to others. Our Religious Education lessons this week were all about the benefits of giving to charity. We played some fun games that helped us understand how good it feels to help others. We also talked about how wonderful it feels when people give us things – it's a bit like getting a surprise treat! The children really grasped the idea that giving isn't just about money, it's about kindness and making a difference in someone's day. Our English lessons took us straight into the whimsical world of Beatrix Potter. The children absolutely loved impersonating Peter Rabbit and writing diary entries about his mischievous adventures. We had some truly imaginative tales of escaping Mr. McGregor's garden, nibbling on delicious radishes, and even encountering brave little squirrels. It was wonderful to see their creativity shine as they put themselves in Peter's paws! The highlight of our week was undoubtedly Richard Crosse Book Day on Friday! The classroom was bursting with vibrant characters as the children came dressed as their favourite book heroes and heroines. We had princesses, superheroes, intrepid explorers, and even a wheres wally.  To celebrate, we put our literary knowledge to the test with a Book Day quiz, which was great fun. We also got creative and acted out some scenes from a book. Imagine children miming the smell of a freshly baked cake, the sound of rustling leaves, or the feeling of soft, fluffy snow – it was brilliant! It's been a week packed with learning, laughter, and a whole lot of fun. Our Year 1 and 2 class continues to amaze us with their enthusiasm and brilliant imaginations!
