Image of Class 4 Week 4 Summer 2

The fourth week of Summer 2 is already over and it has been a blast!

On Monday it was wonderful to get to know the new Class 4 for next year and I was certainly impressed by the kindness and attentiveness on show!

We have enjoyed learning about calculating angles around a point, on a straight line and what vertically opposing angles are. In English, we have begun researching the Mayan ruins of the Chichen Itza in order to write an informative non-fiction text.

In Science, we enjoyed a crime-themed investigation from the RMS that involved using powerful microscopes to investigate different materials (samples) and uncover the Jelly Baby thief.

In History, we uncovered what religions were prevalent in ancient Maya and explored the creation story that involved people made out of clay, wood and corn (maize). We made links to other creation stories that we have learnt previously.

On Friday, we performed our dress rehearsal of our play with great enthusiasm and are in a great position to impress parents and family on Wednesday night.
