Another week has flown by here at [School Name], and it's been absolutely packed with exciting and engaging activities. We're so proud of all the children and their fantastic hard work! This week, our classroom was transformed into a zoo! We continued our adventure with the book "Dear Zoo" and had so much fun making and wearing our own animal masks. It was a great way to help us act out the story, making sure we sent back the correct animal each time and kept all the events in the right order. We had lions, elephants, giraffes, and even a very cheeky monkey! In Maths, we've been working incredibly hard on our place value skills. We've become experts at understanding what each digit in a number means and can now confidently count to much bigger numbers. We've finished this topic with a big flourish and are now ready to tackle the exciting world of addition and subtraction next week. Get ready for some number fun! Our Geography lessons took us on a journey across the United Kingdom. We've been exploring the four countries: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We learned all about their special national flowers, animals, and saints. Did you know the national flower of England is a rose? We really enjoyed spotting them in our learning books and seeing the different symbols for each country. A huge highlight for many of us this week was the arrival of the library bus! We were so excited to step inside and see all the amazing books. A big thank you to the librarians for visiting us. It was a brilliant opportunity to choose a new book to take home and enjoy with our families. We can't wait to read our new stories! What a busy and brilliant week it's been! We're already looking forward to all the new things we'll be learning next week. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
